Andrew & Jessica's Indian Trail Club Wedding Photography: Franklin Lakes, NJ
“Our wedding day was hands down the greatest day of our lives. It felt like a dream. Neither I not Andrew stopped smiling the entire time, even when I was crying from joy, Andrew laughed at me which is very typical of us. There are no words to describe how loved and special we felt. Seeing our family and friends smiling, dancing and just having fun meant the world to us. Our wedding day gave us memories that we will never ever forget & it reminded us just how lucky we are to have such an amazing group of friends, family & most importantly each other.”
Jessica and Andrew enjoyed a rustic and laid back fall wedding day at The Indian Trail Club in New Jersey. Their day began with an exchange of gifts and hand written notes to one another. Jessica surprised Andrew with custom wedding day cuff links and a tie bar, while Andrew surprised Jessica with a diamond ring. The two tied the knot at The most Blessed Sacrament Church in Franklin lakes and Andrew’s smile as Jessica came down the aisle could not have been bigger. While exchanging their custom vows, tears of joy were shed all around, including Jessica and her bridesmaids. A church bubble exit signaled everyone to head to the venue for portraits where we caught the most magically sunset overlooking the lake. The guests, bridal party, and couple enjoyed the sunsetting over the lake before dancing the night away!
The Proposal (Or How they met)
We met in college. First we were friends for awhile and then eventually became more than that. The proposal was low key but was able to be a surprise as I waited until she came home one day to do it at our apartment just the two of us.
I always thought that I wanted a public, grand gesture engagement. This is another example of how Andrew sometimes knows me better than I know myself. He proposed to me in our apartment (which was both of our first apartment) when I got home from helping my aunt cook on Thanksgiving Eve. Thanksgiving has always been my favorite holiday because I have an obsession with stuffing. I was so happy that Andrew proposed just him and I because even though I felt like I waited forever for it, I was extremely overwhelmed when it happened. I ugly cried for a good 5 minutes before actually saying yes. What I loved most about it was that when Andrew proposed, he didn't ask if I would marry him but rather if I would be his wife.
Jessica's Wedding Planning Tip:
Keep in mind that the end goal is to be married. The wedding is a great way to celebrate that marriage but remember, if something goes wrong with the flowers or it rains, none of that matters as long as at the end of the day you are together.
