Steve & Tara's Orange Lawn Tennis Club Wedding Photography: South Orange, NJ

Tara & Steve enjoyed an incredibly romantic, long awaited, and joyous day for their spring wedding at the Orange Lawn Tennis Club in New Jersey. The day started early with an exchange of cards and gifts before beginning their wedding day. Steve received a beautiful Tissot watch to wear that day and Tara was surprised with beautiful stud earrings. The day was filled with many custom details, including a botanical paper suite designed by one of her bridesmaids, the Penny and Chloe Signature cocktails to represent their dogs, and family wedding photos decorated the cocktail hour. Steve even hired a Rolls Royce car to drive Tara and her dad to the church before the ceremony. The two tied the knot at the beautiful First Reformed Church in Pompton Plains and danced the night away back at OLTC to the Silver Arrow Band.

How We Met:

His Version:

I was out at a bar during Christmas time with my friends. I was getting ready to head home for the night, but my friends started talking to a group of girls. Tara was one of the girls in the group who was on the side drinking a beer. I noticed her from across the way and decided to approach her to have a conversation. We spend the rest of the night going from bar to bar talking and ended the night with a dance off with her twin sister.

Her Version:

I went to a Christmas bar crawl with my friends in the city to celebrate the holiday season because I love Christmas time. My friends started talking to a group of guys and Steve approached me from across the room. We went to several more bars together and talked the entire time getting to know each other. He was very easy to talk to and the chemistry was immediate. He was a complete gentleman and walked me to the subway at the end of the night. A few weeks later we went on our first date and the rest was history.

Proposal: Steve told me that he planned a date night in the city with dinner and broadway show. Little did I know that he was planning a scavenger hunt through Manhattan for me to find him where he would then propose. During the scavenger hunt, I was calling my sister trying to figure out what was going on thinking that he may be proposing, but I kept talking myself out of it. When I finally found him in the park by the MET, I was so excited and said yes immediately.
