Aaron & Molly's Strathallan Wedding Photography: Rochester NY

Molly & Aaron's elegant, upscale, and Irish inspired wedding day began at the Strathallen Hotel in Rochester, NY where Molly and Aaron got ready with their bridal party. Tears and champagne flowed early when Molly opened a heartfelt card Aaron had wrote to her before the ceremony. The two saw each other for the first time coming down the aisle and tied the knot at their family church where they shared a traditional Irish Catholic Ceremony. After the ceremony the bridal party headed to The George Eastman Museum to enjoy some time in the gardens for photos. Known for their fun and outgoing personalities, the reception kicked off with an Irish Blessing and shot of Jameson enjoyed by all the guests. Their reception back at the Strathallen Hotel was completed with signature cocktails, a flower wall, a cigar bar, and live music.

The Proposal (Or How they met)

His Version:

Our proposal was a family affair. Her mother, and cousins, helped set it up so I could surprise Molly. We also did it at a location that was part of the family history which was special to both of us. Being able to surprise Molly and see her joy was everything I wanted.

Her Version:

The proposal was perfect. I had absolutely no idea it was happening. We went to a rooftop bar in Rochester that my dad helped open, so its super special to my family, and I thought we were just getting drinks with my friends. Me and my girlfriends were taking pictures on the rooftop and I turned around and Aaron was on one knee. I looked behind him and my parents and aunts and cousins had snuck up to the rooftop and I was in complete and total shock. I actually didn't say yes for a full 3 minutes because my brain couldn't comprehend what was happening. It was so perfect and so sweet.

Wedding Planning Tip:

Just relax and if something is really important to your family to incorporate... just let them. We are both from huge families that were very opinionated about aspects of the wedding and we just agreed to not sweat the small stuff. At the end of the day its about you starting a wonderful life with your significant other, not having a "perfect day". Also know that at the finish line you get the most amazing prize- a husband/wife you are obsessed with.
