Ryan & Gina's Pleasantdale Chateau Wedding Photography: West Orange, NJ
Ryan & Gina celebrated their romantic and botanic outdoor inspired wedding day at Pleasantdale Chateau in West Orange, NJ. The expansive and decorative grounds of the Chateau provided the most beautiful and elegant backdrop for their wedding day. They shared their first look in a stunning floral garden before taking some time to explore the grounds together alone. After enjoying some time together and much laughter, Ryan and Gina joined their families and bridal party for photos around the Chateau. As twilight approached they tied the knot overlooking the water under a floral arch, as Ryan’s Godfather officiated their ceremony. With their union complete, everyone danced the night away to The Paris NY Band.
The proposal was on a Thursday. I told Gina that I wanted to try a new restaurant uptown so we decided to walk through our usual route in Stephen's College. That's where I proposed. I had asked her parents 2 nights before and they were the only people that knew it was happening. We celebrated that night just the two of us.
Our proposal was very simple and private which is exactly how I always said I would want it to be. We live in Hoboken and were going for a walk, similar to how we do a lot of nights. There's one area on the campus of Stephen's Institute that overlooks the entire city and that's where Ryan proposed. It was extremely unexpected which made it that much better.
Wedding Planning Tip:
We used The Knot.com checklist throughout our engagement. It was extremely helpful to remember all of the small details and stay on track!
