Ashley & Anthony's Spring The Ryland Inn Wedding Photography: Whitehouse Station, New Jersey

Sophisticated, elegant, yet rustic with The Ryland Inn Grand Ballroom as their background, Ashley and Anthony celebrated their wedding commitment to one another on a rainy spring day in April. Happy tears flowed throughout the day during their private first look, to Ashley’s walk down the aisle, and during both the Maid of Honor and Best man speeches. You could definitely say it was an emotional day filled with love and happiness. Candle light, soft colors, and music set a romantic tone for the day despite the dreary weather. After their heartfelt ceremony, Ashley & Anthony and their guests enjoyed dinner and dancing into the night.

The Proposal

His Version: In between Christmas and New Years, I was home “preparing” the place for Ashley’s eventual move-in together.  Little did she know, I was also preparing the place for the proposal. The night of, I rearranged the living room, organizing our favorite pictures together, covering the room with thousands of rose petals (plus 2 dozen long-stemmed roses in the corner), lighting the room with in hundreds of candles, and most importantly, painting “Will You Marry Me” in huge letters on the wall.  When she arrived that Friday evening, she knew something was up when I asked her to “wear a blindfold” to surprise her with the improvements to the place. After walking her into the living room and taking the blindfold off, that’s when I (first, started to cry – she didn’t!) and to proposed to Ashley.

Her Version: His proposal was beautiful and intimate. I made my way over on New Year’s Eve weekend to help paint in preparation for the big move into his apartment.  Anthony was so excited to show the progress he had made before my arrival, he offered me a blindfold. This part seemed a little odd but I went with it and so glad I did!  He led me into the main living room where I took the blindfold off to find hundreds of lit candles, thousands of rose petals, beautifully framed photos of the two of us and 2 dozen red roses.  Talk about romantic! The best part was where he painted the wall, “Will You Marry Me?”
