Summer, Divine Park, Engagement Session: Spring Lake, NJ
It was my first time visiting Divine Park and Spring Lake, NJ for John and Angela’s engagement session and I certainly hope it wasn’t my last. Their session happened to coincide with their wedding date and was exactly one year before their big day. It was a perfectly cool, but sunny day with an incredible incredible sunset ( You know I am obsessed with sunset photos!) that made the perfect backdrop and light for photos. We spent some time along the beach and then headed over to Divine Park enjoying the views and sunset. Angela and John were such naturals to photograph because they simply had fun with one another and really let their relationship shine while I got to document.
John planned a romantic birthday dinner for Angela on the Liberty House veranda in Jersey City. When the meal was finished and the sun was setting, John invited Angela over to the garden area of the pier and kindly asked their waitress to take their picture with the Freedom Tower in the background. They were getting ready for the picture when John leaned in for a kiss, and when Angela reopened her eyes, he was on one knee with an engagement ring in his hand, asking her to marry him.
The proposal was nothing short of perfect. John took me to Liberty House for dinner the night before my birthday. It was one of those summer nights that was breezy and calm and the restaurant had fire pits and a live band playing at sunset. We had amazing wine and delicious meals and when we went to take a photo against the city skyline, John leaned in for a kiss and when I opened my eyes he was down on one knee. It was the most surreal moment of my life and I can not wait to marry him.
